Under the Weather

Since about Friday the boys have been under the weather. Because there has been absolutely no rain to speak of the pollens in the air are irritating Wyatt's allergies.  He has come down with a sinus infection and because of that he developed an inner ear infection to go along with it.  So we have been treating fairly high fevers since Friday and now finally have medication to get the infection cleared up.  You know it never fails, at least in my situation,  that the kids always seem to need the most medical attention after 5pm on Friday when the Drs. have left the building.  Like Josh says "at least they have the weekend to see if their own body can rid of the situation." I can only imagine how Wyatt is feeling not really having the ability to know why his head feels like a lead balloon. Like he told the doctor, "my nose is stuffy,"  that is his interpretation of how he is feeling.

As for Zane he decided to start running fever Monday morning. Since I was already going to be at the Dr. office when they opened to get Wyatt looked at,  I put him on the list as well. They say it is just a virus so we have made real good friends with the Tylenol and Motrin.  Zane acts fine and feels fine as along as the medicine is working, but you know when it has started to wear off.
As a mom you just feel helpless in the process of making them feel better. They probably think the world is coming to an end because all they can really understand is what is going on in that very moment, not really knowing that tomorrow will be better than the day before.  All that is on the boy's minds is "Why can we not go to MoMo's to swim"  so I feel sympathy for them hoping that the next day will be better than the last.

OH man! I hope everyone feels better soon and nobody else gets it. Marte just told me a bad virus is going around up at his school (camp is this week).

You would think that the kids staying at home would be a little more protected against some of the things going around, but not always!
