On Monday Wyatt started his first day of "big school." We had the opportunity to transfer Wyatt into a pre school where he will be attending kindergarten next year. The district did not have enough to fill the class and they opened it up then to us "outsiders." He loves the school. Before starting he was telling us all about the "food service" they have. It is so funny and interesting to listen to a 4 year old explain things. Yesterday was a big day for him from the stories he told us when I picked him up. They got to ride the school bus to the track to run for P.E. (this was his first time to ride a bus). He said that he ran around the track 10 times and passed everyone up. Then he went to the library to check out a book. He brought home Bugle Elk & Little Toot. This too was his first time to go to a library and bring home a book. Then even though I fix him breakfast at home and he eat before he leaves and he takes his lunch but he proceeds to tell us that he had the food at school. So if you can imagine Wyatt telling the story...

First Day
Mom: "Wyatt did you eat when you got there or at lunch?"
Wyatt: "Well, they have two lunches, I did not know they had two lunches." (implying they have something in the morning)
Mom: "Yes, they serve breakfast there, but you eat at home, why did you eat at school?"
Wyatt: " I was hungry."
He rides to school with a close friend because his mom is a teacher there so he is there at 7:30.
Mom: "Did Dalton eat breakfast too?"
Wyatt: "Yes"
Mom: "How did you pay for the breakfast"
Wyatt: " You don't pay. You don't even need money. You just tell the ladies what you want and they give it to you."
Mom: "No Wyatt it does cost money for you to eat there."
Wyatt: "No mom you don't need money I just told them my name"
Mom: "Well what did you have?"
Wyatt: "Cereal, milk and juice."
Mom: "Was it good?"
Wyatt: "Oh yeah, I had chocolate cereal and white milk with grape juice."
Well you see where this was going. Wyatt found that you can eat there and not have to have money and get food. Innocent minds you have to love. So I will see if today he ate breakfast there again. You know since you don't need money to get food. He is though going to have lunch there for the first time, we will see how that goes.
