Wyatt has started a new exciting chapter to his life book-----t-ball. On Wednesday he started his first practice and for the first time I was impressed with how he preformed. He did run the right way to first (always the fear of them taking off to 3rd), and he threw the ball well. Throwing the ball was not so much the worry, but catching it is another story. Our catching skills are not the best, but he sure does get an E for effort. I think if he dove after one ball it was 20, even if he did not have to. THATS MY BOY----get after it. I would rather have a whole bunch of wantto and him not be the best player than being good with not a care in the world.
Yesterday they had their first scrimmage with the other t-ball team in the league and you know how do you make sure you play all 15 kids, well you have 7 lining the infield/outfield line and then one at each of the infield positions scooted in. The kids did awesome. Most of the balls went to the 3rd baseman, who pretty much stopped every one. Wyatt played pitcher in the 2nd inning and in t-ball that is a pretty important position at least you have to be able to catch because getting the ball in the circle will stop the play. He did pretty good. I think the biggest part for him was remembering that he needed to be sure to get the ball.
They have their first tournament coming up the week after Easter and he is totally pumped for that. We will be off to Academy to get his first pair of baseball pants and hope that this is the first of many more to come.

WOW! Yalls teeball sounds so much more intense than ours. :) We play two innings where everyone bats through once. They run one base at a time and I have YET to see anyone catch a ball. :) They call throw pretty well, but nobody catches anything...or hardly fields it for that matter. And a tournament?? Wow. Watch out world, Marlin has it goin' on!!
I think we're having as much fun as Bryson with this new experience. I love watching him play.
so this is not how it is everywhere else. They play 5 innings or an hour an a half. I think that Wyatt is liking it. His concept so far is it there is tball practice then there is not school. Their minds just make me laugh how they work. I will keep you posted for sure.
