Easter

Like every year we spent Easter down at Mammie and PawPaw's. We usually like to leave on the Friday after Josh is done with work, however this year is such an anomaly as farm as any farming and ranching is concerned. Why you might ask, well the life of the farmer is always at mercy to Mother Nature and this year she has given all the farmers a run for their money when trying to get the corn crop in. Usually planting in our area starts late February and are hopefully done by spring break, well since the rains have been coming non-stop since the 10th of September, having fields dry enough to run a planter through them are about impossible. Anyway to make a long story short, Josh was just finishing up getting what he could of the corn crop in the ground, putting fertilizer in behind it and such. So we did not leave for Katy until about 9pm on Saturday. The Klam family Easter can sometime be a circus in and of itself. Between cousins arguing over kickball, the race for the high money egg, and all the kids, well just being kids, we sure need a video camera going nonstop to catch all the action. However, it is always good to be with family no matter the drama!
