Well our hopes were to make it to the Condo with enough daylight left that the boys would be able to see the ocean and go down to the beach before dark, but we did not arrive until about 9:45. So in our car I had 4 very hungry kids and one grumpy papa bear because of the lack of food. Our thoughts were to have some great seafood that night, but what is open at 10 o'clock at night, Waterburger was all we could find!! You drive for 9 hours to get something you can have in your own back yard, you just have to laugh. Anyway so the boys did get to go down to the beach we we got back, dark or not. It was just awesome to listen to the waves hit the shore and have the in between your toes.
So their first sights came the next morning when we woke up to a beautiful day with our balcony facing the ocean. We sat outside and listen to the morning sounds, mostly sea gulls and the waves coming onto the shore.
The kids could not wait to get to the beach and play in the water. Although they were not expecting the water to be salty, they got a little surprise when the water hit them for the first time in the face.
