Turning 5 into 9

Sorry it has been so long since pictures and postings.  We just got back last Thursday from Port Aransas, Texas.  The boys have been wanting to go and see the ocean and we finally had a few days to get free from the daily hustle and bustle of farm and ranch life.  It is normally about a 5 hour trip but for us we made it down there in 9 hours.  So, where did the extra 4 hours come from,  well we decided to have a pre-vacation in Hallettsville, Texas at Pats Service Center.  Yes, we had bad car trouble just before we entered into Schulenburg.  To make a long story short we found out that the catalytic converter was choked up and we needed a new one.  And we were not going to get anywhere fast the way that the car was.  As Josh told me in the car, it pays to have family all spread out because my cousin that lives in Schulenburg  lent us their Explorer so we could continue down the road to our "real" vacation.  We left the car there in Hallettsville and picked it up on our way back through on Thursday.

Now to the packing.....We had our Surburban packed and my mother and father-in-law had their Expedition EL packed as well.  So trying to repack two cars w/ much limited space in our loaner was funny to watch.  I did not even think about taking pictures of us while we where standing outside the service center loading the cars w/ all of our belongings, but the picture I do have is the one of my Mother-in-laws car stuffed to the gills.

Yalls trip sounds like ours! We turned a 12 hour trip to the Florida coast into a 15-16 hour trip cause we had two flat tires and had to make a pit stop at the nearest wal-mart for some down time with the kids. Then we ate at Whataburger at 10pm when we got into town as well! :) Too funny! The pictures look awesome, glad yall are back safe and I wish we could make it out to the party this weekend. Take lots more pictures and I'll catch up with you soon!
