I remember the excitment of Santa coming and leaving gifts under the tree and waiting to see if you can hear the pitter patter of reindeer hooves on the roof. I never could stay awake long enough to know if I could hear the sounds. But even to this day the fantacy of hoping there is a Santa and the excitment

it brings to your own children's faces when they know that Santa will be arriving soon is something that makes me look forward to this time of year. I know and I tried to teach my children that Christmas was about the birth of our Jesus Christ and we do gifts because the 3 wise men brought gifts to baby Jesus when he was born. So to the kids Santa Clause and Jesus are sorta intertwined.

I did ask the boys this question, "If baby Jesus was not born what would he not have been able to do for you?" and I was so proud of them when their response was...."Die on the cross for all of our sins." This confirms for both Josh and I that Sunday School is paying off, that the boys are actually retaining a little bit of what Mrs. Owen is trying to teach them.
So in preparation for Santa and his Reindeer the boys sprinkled out reindeer food for them to come and eat and left milk and cookies for the big man him self and then scurried off to bed to dream of sugar plums dancing in their heads.
