The Magic of Christmas.

The magic of Christmas has come and now left with it looking like Santa's wrapping shop and gift factory had exploding in my living room. The pattering of little feet on Christmas morning is something cherished by me, waiting to see what their reactions will be when they notice what Santa has left for them. Our fearsome four usually have to be woken up to see the goodies that have been left behind by Ole St. Nick; however, this year Wyatt could not hardly go to sleep much less sleep in.

The bedroom door slowly slides open and out peeks a curly bedhead child peering at what could be left for him by the tree. Standing in wonder he gazes at the gifts that have been left, pondering the fact that a skateboard was not in the mix. My answer, "Santa knows skateboards do not ride well on rocks so he left that for someone who really had the room to learn to ride. Wyatt started to run to every room in the house waking anyone who was still slumbering in deep sleep, even dad. Finally the entire crew arose to see what had seemed to spontaneously appear in our living room over night. The twins found their first bicycle equipped with training wheels to prevent any massive injury while in the process of learning to ride. Soon a track was created between the living room, dining room and the boys room and back to the living room and the circling began. The boys found a roping toy just their size. They got their ropes out and had at it trying to catch the head and one attempting to catch the two hind legs, they need the practice.
And lastly I was left a nice, shiny black truck. That is right folks, my better half thought I was good enough this year despite what the kids thought, to get a new ride. Although I had it about a week and a half before St. Nicks Great Flight, the surprise was still there. The ole 'burban is gone and a black, 4-door, Dodge with a flat bed has now taken its spot. Ok, so you may wonder there are 6 of you in a truck, WHERE DOES ALL THE STUFF GO? Well I thought the same thing as well, but the better half has taken on that challenge of packing the truck for trips. All of his packing skills from a child getting ready for cattle shows has paid off, because our first family trip to see Mammie and PawPaw for Christmas his packing skills were put to the test. Despite by doubt in how things were going to ride, nothing flew off, slid off or otherwise became destroyed on the journey south. Needless to say the truck rides great and it is everything I have been waiting for, for 15 1/2 years. Yes people this is my very first new ride and it could not be more perfect for me.
I hope that every one had a Merry Christmas celebrating the birth of our Son, Jesus Christ who without him our sins would not be forgiven. Have a happy new year and I hope to be a little more consistent with updates from our Fabulous Four in 2011.

Lisa
