From Farm wife to a teaching Life

As most of you may know i went from being a farmer/ranchers wife and stay at home mom to a teaching life at a local school. Boy does it seem my life has been turned upside down, turned around and overall screwed up. The constant pressure of maintain a household while at home then keep up with the work load I put on my self at school, I have to agree with a comment a dear friend of mine made just the other night, the weekends now are keeping my head above water. Monday through Friday it seems just about impossible to keep a spotless house, laundry done and put away, floors clean, bathrooms clean, outside manicured, bedrooms organized and the list goes on. How do some of you moms keep it all together? The last time I was in this position, teaching and being a mom, Wyatt was not even walking, much less talking, making a mess, eating me out of house and home and everything else that goes with being a boy. Now I have added three more kids that are all making huge messes of their own and it is just my hands trying to keep up with the foursome. Apparently I did not realize how much more I got done when I was home all day compared to now being home just a couple hours before it is bed time and to start the same ole song and dance again the next day. Although my husband would disagree with the last statement; however, I do feel that before going back to work things were a bit more on an even kill. Now I am just one big stress ball trying to do an entire days work in a matter of 4 hours. I feel I am very organized, well as my mom would put is organized ciaos but still it is all organized in my head. So to all of you once stay at home moms to now working moms, what changed for you? Are your weekends for keeping your head above water?

It's tough! You just have to find the right balance, which takes quite awhile. I went back to work 18 months ago just 3 days a week so Brooke could have insurance. Hang in there, it gets better...
