Well the playground that the kids got for Christmas is being put to good use now that the weather has warmed up a bit. From swinging, to the teeter-totter, and sand box they have stayed pretty busy out side after their naps. But now that the weather is turning even hotter the pool is where they are liking to stay. We don't have a neighborhood pool, city pool or anything like that around these parts, so the ol' cheapos from Wal-Mart will have to do, but how much does it take to entertain a 4 yr. old and 2 yr. old with a water hose? But here is the catch, Mr. Zane thinks that everything is made of a material that is indestructible ( I only wish). So this year instead of buying the ones that blow up with air I decided that just one of those hard plastic pools would do the trick and last much l
onger than any blow up, boy what was I thinking. The boys were out side last Sunday having a good ol' time in the water when I come out and find Zane with a his metal garden hoe chopping away at the plastic pool. Sometimes I wonder what that boy is thinking... I did not know it at the time, but now there are three slits in the bottom of the pool. The comment made to me about how to fix it was, "Mom can you put some 'dub' (duct) tape on it" At least they were thinking of a way to keep the water in. If anyone finds out about a material that cannot be destroyed by a 2 or 4 year old please let me know, because before too long all the boys are going to have to play with are the rocks in the drive and the dirt from the garden.

That is hilarious and I bet my boys would have destroyed it as well - maybe not the plastic one. Too funny.
I guess you could say you now have a pool that "self drains". The "dub tape" doesn't sound like a bad idea for now. The boys can fill up the pool and when the water is gone, it is time to get out. Good thing is that the grass will get watered! Despite the bad decision on Zane's part, you have to give Wyatt an A+ in problem solving! Happy summer Mom, it is only just beginning.
